The local medical community has understood the need for the low-income uninsured to receive specialty care. Today our patients have access through our referral process to over 250 medical specialist and diagnostic services. Oregon Medical Lab, Pathology Consultants, PHMG Radiology and Oregon Medical Group Radiology are but a few. Specialists include surgeons, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, and an entire array of specialties so that the VIM patient can have access to necessary care and service. Other businesses that have helped with significant ongoing services are The Register Guard, American Linen and many others.

"We support the Volunteers In Medicine Clinic because of the worthy cause and growing need of providing healthcare to those that otherwise would go without in the community where we live. We are also moved to support this community healthcare effort because of its leader Sr. Monica Heeran and the worthy volunteers that all walk in the steps of Mother Teresa in our own backyard."

"The Volunteers In Medicine Clinic offers those less fortunate in our community a benefit most of us take for granted -- unfettered access to basic healthcare. Its belief that a proper functioning healthcare system would leave no one behind is laudable. But it's a tall order, too. The vital safety net that VIM and its many volunteers have fashioned deserves the community's ongoing attention and support. For those concerned about the future health and well-being of this place they call home, there are few better investments."

“Alsco – American Linen is proud to support Eugene’s Volunteers In Medicine Clinic in their effort to provide free healthcare to those in need. Health care continues to be a significant issue, especially to those who are economically disadvantaged. Eugene is a small community but large in its need for support and volunteerism. It is for this reason that we offer our laundry service and products, and have done so since the opening of the clinic on West 11th. While this donation is small in proportion to the need, it is a step that, when joined with the efforts of others, creates a bridge to success in our community.”
