Calling Surge
Because of a surge in Lane County residents calling for our services at the beginning of this
year, VIM had to halt eligibility screenings by mid-May, lest patients wait up to six weeks to see a doctor. However, by rearranging our provider schedule on Wednesdays, by July we were able to again open the Clinic for new appointments.
Executive Director Jackie Mikalonis interviewed with KLCC News. Mikalonis also interviewed with The Register-Guard and KVAL to announce that VIM could not review names on a waiting list of 300 individuals waiting for eligibility screenings.
