Nurse Practitioner
As a collaborative team member, this position supports the philosophy of providing quality professional care for patient’s medical, physical and psychosocial needs. In addition, this position provides diabetes self-management training to patients in the clinic and promotes behavior change in lifestyle and medication adherence to maximize health status of referred patients in an individual or group setting.
Requirements: Current Oregon Nurse Practitioner license, with national prescriptive drug privileges with a DEA number; Minimum two years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a general medical field; Demonstrated ability to effectively teach in a group setting and utilize a variety of educational methods; Ability to lead, train volunteers, and provide patient education; Ability to work some flexible hours, and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preference: Working use of Spanish language and National certification with Board for Diabetes Education.
